Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang chaired a meeting with the province's functional departments and agencies to give opinions on removing obstacles related to the Vinamilk Quang Ngai Dairy Farm Project.
The Vinamilk Quang Ngai Dairy Farm Project was granted an investment policy decision by the Provincial People's Committee in 2017, with a land use area of about 100 hectares, in Duc Phu and Duc Hoa communes, Mo Duc district.
It was agreed by the Provincial People's Committee to add works and projects to the Land Use Plan in 2019.
The project has completed phase 1 on an area of 30 hectares. The expected area for phase 2 is 73.62 hectares.
However, due to problems with land procedures, phase 2 of the project has not yet been handed over to the Investor to expand the project investment.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang said that the Dairy Farm Project is the first large-scale agricultural project in the province that has come into operation.
The project has created efficiency, brought benefits to the community, and received high consensus and support from people with land in the project area. It has also created jobs, stable income, and increased income for people through cooperation in growing raw materials for the project, especially in localities in the South of the province.
To gradually remove obstacles for the Project, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the People's Committee of Mo Duc district and relevant agencies and units to study the Land Law 2024 and related guiding Decrees to remove difficulties and obstacles in land allocation and land lease, create conditions for the Project to be implemented on schedule and effectively promote the set investment goals.
