A current affairs conference titled " Recent situation in the East Sea and Vietnam's policies " was held with the participation of provincial leaders, members of the Lê Trung Đình Club, and representatives from various departments and sectors in Quảng Ngãi.
At the event, Lê Quang Thích, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations, emphasized the importance of raising awareness and reinforcing Vietnam’s consistent principles and policies regarding the East Sea, in light of recent developments that may impact national sovereignty and security.
The conference aimed to foster patriotism, unity, and public support for the Party’s stance.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đặng Quỳnh Quý, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations, delivered an in-depth presentation on the latest developments in the East Sea, the significance of the region, overlapping territorial claims, future trends, and Vietnam’s strategic and policy approaches to safeguarding its maritime sovereignty.
