The Quảng Ngãi Provincial National Assembly Delegation led by General Trần Quang Phương, a member of the Party Central Committee and NA Vice Chairman,  on December 15 met voters in Đức Phổ Ward as part of post-session consultations following the 10ᵗʰ session of the 15ᵗʰ National Assembly.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Thế Hải, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Quảng Ngãi Y Thị Bích Thọ, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng, and leaders of provincial departments and agencies attended the meeting.

At the meeting, voters were briefed on the outcomes of the 10ᵗʰ NA session.

After 40 days of intensive, disciplined and innovative work, the session successfully completed its full agenda.

The National Assembly considered and decided on a range of strategic issues of special importance to the country’s development in the new period.

The legislature passed 51 laws and 39 resolutions, including eight normative resolutions. This substantial legislative workload accounted for around 30 per cent of the total laws and normative resolutions issued during the entire term, helping remove institutional bottlenecks, improve the legal framework and create favourable conditions for political, economic, cultural and social development.

The NA also decided on key issues related to socio-economic development, the State budget, investment policies for national target programmes and major national projects, the national master plan, personnel work, supervision and other matters under its authority.

During the session, deputies from the Quảng Ngãi provincial NA delegation actively participated in group and plenary discussions, contributing to the overall outcomes.

At the consultation, voters expressed their satisfaction with the success of the session and raised a number of proposals and recommendations.

They requested to effectively implement programmes to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing, with support for building and repairing homes for policy beneficiary families, poor and near-poor households. Other issues raised by voters include tuition fee exemptions for the “National Defence and Security Education” course to ensure consistency with overall policies; adjustments to high land-use fee levels when converting garden land to residential land; early investment in embankments along the Trà Câu River to prevent erosion affecting residential areas and traffic routes; construction of a domestic waste treatment system to protect the environment and support the goal of building a civilised urban area; and resolution of land-use right certificates for households resettled to new areas.

Addressing the meeting, NA Vice Chairman Trần Quang Phương thanked voters for their constructive and heartfelt opinions on national and local development, particularly on issues directly related to social welfare, urban infrastructure, environmental protection and sustainable development.

He affirmed that all voter opinions and recommendations would be fully recorded. Issues already addressed by provincial departments will continue to be clarified and guided so that residents clearly understand relevant regulations.

He requested that matters under local and provincial jurisdiction be promptly resolved, while those falling under the authority of central ministries and agencies will be consolidated by the provincial NA delegation and reported to the National Assembly, the Government and relevant bodies for consideration and response.

On this occasion, NA Vice Chairman Trần Quang Phương presented 30 gift packages to disadvantaged households and policy beneficiary families affected by recent storms and floods, and offered gifts to the leadership and civil servants of Đức Phổ Ward.

The Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank also supported the ward’s Study Promotion Fund with VNĐ300 million.
