On October 24, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reported increasing rainfall across the central region. Areas from southern Quảng Trị to Huế City experienced heavy to very heavy rain, including Hải An (Quảng Trị) with 67.2 mm and Thuận An (Huế) with 176.8 mm.
From the morning of October 24 to the night of October 25, areas from southern Quảng Trị to Quảng Ngãi and eastern Gia Lai are forecast to see widespread heavy rain, with totals of 100–250mm and locally over 450mm, mainly along coastal zones.
Meanwhile, from Nghệ An to northern Quảng Trị, eastern Đắk Lắk to Lâm Đồng, and in the southern region, scattered showers and thunderstorms of 15–40mm, locally over 100mm, are expected.
On October 26, heavy rain will continue from Quảng Trị to Quảng Ngãi with 50–100mm, locally over 200mm, and may persist through the end of October.
A separate tropical depression over the northern East Sea weakened into a low-pressure area late on October 23 and is expected to dissipate while moving southwest.
