Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trần Phước Hiền visits Heroic Vietnamese Mother Phan Thị Phu.
QUẢNG NGÃI — Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trần Phước Hiền on July 16 paid visits to three Heroic Vietnamese Mothers in Trà Giang Commune, extending greetings and presenting gifts ahead of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947–2026).
The delegation visited Nguyễn Thị Thêm, 97, in An Lạc Village; Phạm Thị Yết, 95, in Phú Thọ 1 Village; and Phan Thị Phu, 103, in Village 3.
All three women lost both their husbands and sons during the resistance war against the United States. Their late family members were posthumously recognised as martyrs for their ultimate sacrifices.
During the visits, Hiền inquired about the Mothers' health and daily lives while expressing profound gratitude for their immense sacrifices and those of their families in the struggle for national liberation, reunification and the defence of the nation.
He wished the Mothers good health, happiness and longevity, expressing his hope that they would continue to inspire younger generations through their resilience and unwavering patriotism.
The Vice Chairman also updated the Mothers and their families on the province's ongoing 500-Day Campaign to intensify the search, recovery and identification of martyrs' remains across Quảng Ngãi.
He said the campaign reflects the enduring Vietnamese tradition of remembering those who sacrificed for the nation while reaffirming the Party, the State and the people's deep gratitude to fallen heroes.
Hiền called on local Party committees and authorities to continue providing comprehensive care and support for Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, revolutionary contributors and policy beneficiary families. This, he noted, will help uphold the nation's tradition of honoring and repaying those who rendered distinguished service to the country..
