Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm chairs a meeting to prepare a series of major events
QUẢNG NGÃI — The People's Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province on August 3 held a meeting to review preparations for a series of major events scheduled to take place across the province this month, with a focus on investment promotion, regional cooperation and industrial development.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Đức Tâm, with Vice Chairmen Trần Phước Hiền and Đỗ Tâm Hiển, as well as leaders of provincial departments, agencies and local authorities in attendance.
Officials reported on the implementation of tasks assigned under the provincial plan for organising key events in August 2026.
The Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks Authority updated participants on preparations for the ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of its establishment, including the event programme, protocol arrangements, guest invitations, speeches and logistical preparations.
Meanwhile, the provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre outlined plans for the upcoming Investment and Tourism Promotion Conference. The event will be accompanied by activities showcasing Quảng Ngãi’s tourism potential, cultural heritage, OCOP products and other signature local products to strengthen connections with domestic and international investors and businesses.
The meeting also discussed preparations for the conference reviewing the implementation of the socio-economic cooperation agreement between Hồ Chí Minh City and provinces and cities in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands for the 2023–2025 period.
The conference will assess the outcomes of the partnership and define cooperation priorities for 2026–2030.

Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm urges authorities to coordinate closely and ensure all activities are organised professionally, safely and efficiently
Concluding the meeting, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm stressed that the August events would play an important role in promoting Quảng Ngãi’s image, development potential and investment opportunities while reinforcing the province's attractiveness to investors.
He instructed departments, agencies and local authorities to coordinate closely and ensure all activities are organised professionally, safely and efficiently.
Regarding investment promotion, Tâm said the province should prioritise attracting domestic investment before expanding overseas promotion efforts, while making full use of Hồ Chí Minh City's role in connecting Quảng Ngãi with potential investors.
The chairman approved the schedule for the regional cooperation review conference on the afternoon of August 14 in Quảng Ngãi City and the groundbreaking ceremony for the HD Hyundai Eco Vina Industrial Project, an environmentally friendly independent storage tank manufacturing plant, on the morning of August 15.
He also requested that the ceremony celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Dung Quất Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Authority highlight the Authority's three decades of development and the strategic role of the Dung Quất Economic Zone and industrial parks in driving socio-economic growth in Quảng Ngãi, the central region and Việt Nam.
The event should also recognise the contributions of generations of officials, employees, businesses, investors and partner organisations.
The provincial leader assigned relevant agencies to coordinate invitations for leaders of the Party, the State and central ministries, finalise the guest list and closely monitor preparations to ensure the successful organisation of the province's major August events.
