QUẢNG NGÃI — Quảng Ngãi Province will host a series of major economic and investment promotion events in August 2026 to showcase its investment potential, strengthen regional cooperation, and accelerate socio-economic development.
The plan, approved by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Trần Phước Hiền, includes the Quảng Ngãi Investment Promotion Conference, the 30th anniversary celebration of the Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks Authority, as well as exhibitions, regional forums, and scientific seminars.
The event series is designed to promote the province’s investment opportunities alongside its cultural heritage, tourism attractions, OCOP (One Commune One Product) products, and other signature local goods.
It also aims to expand regional connectivity and provide a platform for domestic and international investors to explore business opportunities in Quảng Ngãi.
As part of the programme, the province will review the implementation of the 2023–2025 socio-economic cooperation agreement between Hồ Chí Minh City and the South Central Coast and Central Highlands provinces, while outlining cooperation priorities for the 2026–2030 period.
The 30th anniversary of the Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks Authority will highlight its three decades of development and contributions to the province's industrialisation and economic growth.
The celebration will also honour generations of leaders, officials, employees, and businesses that have supported the development of Quảng Ngãi's economic zones and industrial parks.
According to the tentative schedule, on August 14, the Hồ Chí Minh City Department of Industry and Trade will chair a conference reviewing regional cooperation during the 2023–2025 period.
On the same day, the Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks Authority will host a scientific seminar titled "Sustainable Development of Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks in the Digital Era."
A forum on developing OCOP products, traditional craft villages, and experiential agriculture models will also be held.
On August 15, the Quảng Ngãi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre will organise the Quảng Ngãi Investment Promotion Conference.
The Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks Authority, in cooperation with investors, will also hold the groundbreaking ceremony for the HD Hyundai Eco Vina Industrial Project, an environmentally friendly independent storage tank manufacturing plant.
The anniversary ceremony, combined with a meeting to honour former leaders, enterprises, and investors, will take place later the same day.
A series of accompanying activities will run from August 14 to 16, including the photo exhibition "Cultural Convergence of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands", organised by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Exhibitions featuring OCOP products, regional specialties, and signature goods from Hồ Chí Minh City and the South Central Coast and Central Highlands provinces will also be organised.
Meanwhile, the Hồ Chí Minh City Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the Quảng Ngãi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre, will conduct a tourism product survey and development programme from August 11 to 16.
The Provincial People’s Committee has instructed all lead agencies to finalise detailed implementation plans, event scenarios, and budget estimates for approval before August 1, 2026.
Relevant departments and local authorities have also been directed to coordinate closely to ensure security, traffic management, food safety, fire prevention, and emergency response throughout the event series.
