In 2024, the socio-economic situation of Ba To district continued to maintain and grow steadily, and achieved positive results in all fields.
The district’s total production value was estimated at more than 2,300 billion VND, reaching more than 100 per cent of the plan, up 9.96 per cent year-on-year.
The average product value per capita reached 50.7 million VND per person per year.
Social security policies have been fully and promptly implemented. Administrative reform has achieved outstanding results.
National defense, security, and social order and safety are ensured, creating a stable environment for socio-economic development.
In 2025, Ba To district sets targets to increase the total product value in the area by 9.6 per cent compared to 2024, the average production value per capita of 54.8 million VND per person per year, and the poverty rate at 11.24 per cent. In addition, it will maintain the number of communes meeting new rural standards and will have one more commune meeting new rural standards (Ba Vi commune).

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by Ba To district in the socio-economic development in 2024, contributing to the overall development of the province.
The PPC’s Vice Chairman requested the district to focus on leading, directing, administering, and organizing the implementation to achieve and exceed the main targets for socio-economic development in 2025. At the same time, the district was asked to well implement the preparations for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
Phien asked the district, as a pilot locality in the province to implement the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, to focus all resources with the highest determination and efforts to complete the set goals and make achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Ba To Uprising (March 11, 1945 - 2025).
For the upcoming Lunar New Year 2025, the PPC’s Vice Chairman requested the district to well organize Tet activities for local people, and ensure traffic safety, security and order before, during and after the Lunar New Year.
