On February 3, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang chaired the regular meeting to assess the implementation of tasks and socio-economic targets in January and deploy tasks for February, 2025.

Attending the meeting were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Tran Hoang Tuan, Vo Phien, Tran Phuoc Hien and leaders of provincial departments and sectors.
Reportedly, in January, Quang Ngai achieved many positive results in implementing key socio-economic targets.

In January, the industrial production index increased by 2.19 per cent over the same period last year.
The consumer price index (CPI) increased by 1.7 per cent over the previous month and by 4.0 per cent over the same period last year.
Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in January were estimated at VND 7,503.5 billion, up 11.65 per cent over the previous month and up 14.3 per cent over the same period, reaching 9 per cent of the 2025 plan.
Total state budget revenue in January was estimated at VND 2,688 billion, equal to 67.4 per cent over the same period last year and 8.4 per cent of the annual estimate.
Total local budget expenditure was estimated at VND 1,108 billion, exceeding 3.8 per cent over the same period and equal to 5.9 per cent of the annual plan.
Social security was guaranteed. The whole province celebrated Tet joyfully, healthily, and warmly.
Disease prevention and control, medical examination, treatment, food hygiene and safety during Tet were guaranteed.
In his directions, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang asked departments, agencies and localities to fully and promptly implement the assigned tasks, continue to synchronously deploy solutions to promote economic growth, striving to complete socio-economic development goals, targets and tasks in 2025.
Giang also asked departments, sectors and localities to drastically focus on implementing the 2025 tasks right from the beginning of the year.

Giang basically agreed with the key tasks of February 2025, and noted sectors and localities continue to focus on effectively implementing the important tasks of 2025 as follows:
Innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.
Effectively implement the Plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 in the province.
Develop a plan for public investment disbursement progress in 2025.
Continue to resolutely implement tasks and solutions to improve scores and rankings of the six Indexes: PAR INDEX, PCI, PAPI, SIPAS, DTI and PII.
The PPC’s Chairman hoped that the whole political system in the province will focus on socio-economic development in the spirit of fast recovery and sustainable development from the first day and month of the year; solve bottlenecks and problems that businesses and people are facing. It is considered the foundation for socio-economic development in 2025 and the following years.
