Nationwide efforts are on track to achieve the target of 3,000 km of expressways by the end of 2025, with 3,513 km expected to be technically completed by December 19, including 3,188 km of main expressways and 325 km of interchanges and feeder roads. Additionally, 251 km of coastal roads will be completed this year, bringing the total in operation to about 1,701 km.
In Quảng Ngãi, two major projects are underway: the Quảng Ngãi - Hoài Nhơn section of the North–South Expressway (Eastern route), where 100 per cent of land clearance has been completed, and the proposed Quảng Ngãi - Kon Tum Expressway. The province has submitted plans for investment options for the Quảng Ngãi - Kon Tum Expressway to the Prime Minister and relevant ministries.
