On the afternoon of October 9, the delegation of the Provincial NA Deputies and the Provincial People’s Council (PPC) deputies met with voters in Sơn Hà Commune ahead of the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly and the year-end session of the Provincial People’s Council 2025.

Attending the meeting were Nguyễn Công Hoàng, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, representatives of the Provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee, and leaders of relevant departments and localities.

Sơn Hà Commune was established through the merger of the former Sơn Bao, Sơn Thượng communes and Di Lăng Township, with a total natural area of 163.438 square kilometres and a population of 20,362 people in 5,236 households, of which ethnic minorities account for 76 per cent.

After more than three months of operating under the new two-tier local government model, voters expressed satisfaction and confidence in the Party’s leadership and in the determination of the political system to implement administrative reforms aimed at building a more streamlined, effective and efficient local governance structure.

Voters proposed that authorities continue to pay attention to improving livelihoods through investment in transport, healthcare, and education infrastructure in the newly formed commune, provide preferential credit sources to help households and cooperatives expand production and reduce poverty, and ensure sustainable economic growth.

They also asked the National Assembly and central agencies to allow Sơn Hà Commune to benefit from preferential policies applied to former disadvantaged areas such as Sơn Bao and Sơn Thượng, increase allowances and adjust salaries in line with new tasks and living costs; equip villages with computers and internet infrastructure for reporting and data management, upgrade and repair roads, build anti-erosion embankments along the Rin River, and create conditions for students to continue studying at local high schools to reduce dropout rates.

Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Công Hoàng praised the solidarity and efforts of the Sơn Hà Commune Party Committee, administration and residents in quickly stabilising the local apparatus and effectively implementing the new two-tier governance model.

He expressed his belief that, with continued unity and determination, Sơn Hà Commune would further leverage its strengths to improve the material and spiritual well-being of its people.

He also urged the local authorities to address voters’ concerns within their jurisdiction, particularly in areas of infrastructure, land management, social welfare policies, and land clearance, while maintaining proactive and responsible governance to drive local socio-economic development.

At the meeting, representatives of the Delegation of the Provincial NA Deputies, the Provincial People’s Council, and relevant departments provided further explanations on issues raised by voters and took note of their recommendations for submission to higher authorities for review and resolution.

Voters were encouraged to continue sharing feedback with local authorities to ensure timely handling of emerging issues.
