Coastal areas of Quảng Ngãi suffer major damage from Typhoon No. 13

Heavy rain, strong winds, and high waves caused significant damage across coastal communes in Quảng Ngãi.

According to initial reports on the morning of November 7, more than 50 houses were damaged or had roofs blown off due to the storm, including 45 in Long Phụng, 3 in Ba Tơ, 2 in Ba Dinh, and several in Ngọc Linh.

In Ba Tơ, fallen trees blocked parts of National Highway 24, but local forces quickly cleared the debris to restore traffic. Ba Dinh commune reported one landslide on a talus slope and several trees down along the same route, which have been temporarily cleared.

In Long Phụng, a 230-meter coastal road section was eroded, while Ngọc Linh recorded roof damage at one school.

At Tà Noát Village, Ba Vì Commune, cracks appeared on Wang Với mountain, posing a landslide risk to nearby households. The commune’s disaster response team evacuated 23 households (54 people) to safer areas.

In Vạn Tường, strong waves damaged a 500-meter section of road connecting An Cường fishing port. In Sa Huỳnh Ward, rising tides completely destroyed seaside shops at Châu Me Beach. Similarly, in Long Phụng, high waves caused severe damage to coastal roads and local businesses.
