On July 26, as part of the working trip to the western border communes of Quảng Ngãi province, a delegation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee led by Provincial Party Secretary Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân visited and worked with the Party Committee of Mô Rai Commune.

Mô Rai commune, located in the western part of Quảng Ngãi, covers an area of over 58,000 hectares and shares a 21-kilometer border with the Kingdom of Cambodia. Along this border are five main boundary markers and 17 auxiliary markers.
The commune is home to 1,650 households and 5,832 residents, with ethnic minorities accounting for 71.5 per cent of the population.
The commune’s poverty rate stands at 3.88 per cent.
The local economy is primarily based on agriculture and cottage industries, with key crops including rubber, coffee, durian, macadamia, and medicinal herbs. The craft and construction sectors have seen encouraging growth, attracting local labor and helping diversify the economic structure.

Some enterprises have expanded production and upgraded equipment, contributing to higher household incomes.
Local budget revenue is estimated at VNĐ 10 billion, with per capita income reaching VNĐ 42 million per year.
Education and training have received continuous attention, resulting in improved quality. Healthcare infrastructure has been strengthened, better meeting public medical needs. Support for policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious services has been prioritized. Political security, public order, and border security remain well-maintained.
The commune's Public Administration Service Center officially came into operation on July 1, 2025. So far, 114 administrative dossiers have been processed, including 78 submitted online.
After listening to the commune’s report and recommendations, Secretary Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân acknowledged and appreciated the positive results achieved by the local Party organization, government, and people.

She urged the commune to continue implementing central and provincial policies comprehensively and in a synchronized manner.
The organizational structure should be promptly consolidated, and the quality of officials and civil servants improved to ensure effective governance, she added.
She emphasized the need to strengthen public communication and mobilize consensus, encouraging citizens to support the Party’s guidelines and State laws.
Vân also requested that the commune coordinate with relevant departments to propose economic development models suited to local strengths and soil conditions.
Effective utilisation of the vast land resources will be a key foundation for Mô Rai’s sustainable development and improvement of living standards for its people, Vân said.
