Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee, Trần Phước Hiền, on July 28 led a working delegation to visit Kon Plong One Member Limited Liability Forestry Company to review forest protection and development efforts in the first half of 2025 and discuss future plans.
The state-owned company currently manages over 55,600 hectares of forest and forestry land across the communes of Măng Đen, Măng Bút, Kon Plông, with nearly 50,000 hectares of production forest.
With a streamlined workforce of 94 employees, the company has actively adopted digital tools and technologies to manage operations and enhance reforestation, regeneration, and nursery practices.
The company has also developed three eco-tourism models at natural waterfalls in the area, aligning with the province’s strategy for green tourism development.
In the first six months of 2025, the company recorded a revenue of over VNĐ 19.5 billion.
The average monthly income per employee exceeded VNĐ 14.88 million, with full welfare benefits provided.
Notably, the company disbursed VNĐ 5.5 billion in forest protection payments to 35 local communities and households managing over 17,200 hectares under forest environmental service programs.
Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền praised the company’s achievements following the restructuring of state-run agro-forestry enterprises.
He encouraged continued expansion of effective eco-tourism models and forest-based livelihoods, and urged prompt completion of legal procedures for land use rights and forest lease agreements.
He also assigned relevant departments to study the company’s proposals on under-canopy medicinal herb cultivation, seedling production, agroforestry models, and integrated eco-tourism development to support sustainable forest-based livelihoods.
Earlier, the delegation conducted a field inspection of local agricultural production models in Măng Đen commune.
