Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee, Trần Phước Hiền, and the provincial delegation offered flowers and incense in memory of fallen heroes at the Chư Tan Kra – Hill 995 historical site, located in Ya Ly commune on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2025).
The site honors more than 200 heroic martyrs from Battalion 7, Regiment 209, who bravely sacrificed their lives in a fierce battle against U.S. forces at Hill 995 – Chư Tan Kra on the night of March 25 and early morning of March 26, 1968.
In 2012, the Party, authorities, and people of Hà Nội and former Kon Tum province built a memorial at the foot of Chư Tan Kra Mountain to express gratitude to the capital’s fallen soldiers who gave their lives for national independence and freedom.
In 2013, the site was officially recognized as a historical monument.
In a solemn atmosphere, Vice Chairman Hiền and the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers at the memorial, paying deep respects and gratitude for the sacrifices and heroic contributions of the martyrs.
