The 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress (2025–2030)
On August 25, the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Quảng Ngãi held the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress (2025–2030).
The event reviewed achievements of the 2020–2025 emulation movements and set directions for the next five years. This was also a milestone marking a new stage of development after the merger of Quảng Ngãi and Kon Tum provinces.
Attending the congress were provincial leaders, former leaders, members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, and representatives from departments, sectors, and localities.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council, emphasized that the congress was an opportunity to review successes and shortcomings, and to identify new goals and solutions so that emulation truly becomes a driving force for socio-economic growth and national defense.
Over the past five years, former Quảng Ngãi and Kon Tum provinces have achieved significant results: average GRDP growth of 7.3 per cent per year, per capita income reaching nearly VNĐ 55 million, modernized infrastructure, and strong development of key products such as Ngọc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs entering international markets. Social welfare was ensured and political security remained stable.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, U Huấn, stresses patriotic emulation fosters unity and aspiration
In his directive speech, U Huấn, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, praised 184 exemplary collectives and individuals.
He stressed that patriotic emulation fosters unity and aspiration, and called on the province to leverage regional linkages, the East–West Economic Corridor, and key transport routes for rapid and sustainable development.
He urged innovation in grassroots emulation movements, combined with science, technology, and digital transformation, ensuring transparent and timely commendations.

In his closing remarks, Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang affirmed that the congress’s success reflected the efforts of officials, Party members, armed forces, and people of former Quảng Ngãi and Kon Tum, with strong support from the central government.
He called on all sectors and localities to continue promoting patriotic traditions, innovate emulation movements, and link them with key provincial tasks such as infrastructure development, urban growth, Industry 4.0, investment climate improvement, innovation, and start-ups.
He appealed to the Party, armed forces, and people of Quảng Ngãi to uphold their heroic tradition and strive together to build a more prosperous, modern, and civilized province.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were honored with titles such as Hero of the Armed Forces, Hero of Labor, Government Emulation Flags, and Prime Minister’s Certificates of Merit.
The Party, State, and Government also awarded the First-Class Labor Order to the Party, authorities, and people of Quảng Ngãi.
