The Quảng Ngãi Provincial Police on August 1 held a launching ceremony for a peak campaign to suppress crime and ensure security and order.

The campaign aims to safeguard political stability and social safety ahead of the Party Congresses at all levels, the 14th National Party Congress, and the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day, and the founding of the People's Public Security Forces.

Attending the event were Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Colonel Hồ Song Ân, Director of the Provincial Police, and leaders of departments and agencies.

From August 1 to September 15, 2025, police forces across the province will coordinate with military units, agencies, and mass organizations to launch synchronized operations to suppress crime and maintain public order.

The campaign targets organized crime, loan sharking, robbery, theft, juvenile delinquency, smuggling, commercial fraud, corruption, and environmental violations.

The goal is to reduce criminal cases by at least 5 per cent compared to the previous period and the same period last year.

The police are also tasked with protecting key facilities, ensuring traffic safety, and enhancing fire prevention and control.

Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang commended the public security forces for their proactive efforts since early 2025 and urged continued focus on preventing unrest, countering hostile forces—particularly online—and ensuring security for major events.

He also called for intensified efforts to combat smuggling, food safety violations, illegal immigration, and cross-border crimes.

Other departments were directed to increase inspections in fuel trading, counterfeit goods, and telecom security, as well as strengthen coordination with the police in investigations and prosecutions.

Media agencies were encouraged to enhance public awareness through digital platforms and grassroots communication networks.
