Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Hien chaired a meeting to discuss the work of ensuring traffic safety and fire prevention before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.
Authorities are concerned about the increased number of people and vehicles during the holiday, which could lead to traffic accidents and jams.
Additionally, the rise in production, business, and storage activities for Tet will increase fire safety risks.
The provincial police and localities have developed a plan to address these issues before, during, and after the Lunar New Year.
Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Hien praised the efforts of various departments and the Provincial Police in ensuring traffic safety and fire prevention for a safe Lunar New Year 2025.
He urged promotion of safety measures through various channels, including social media, to encourage responsible behavior and compliance with laws.
The provincial police and Department of Transport are working to improve traffic safety by increasing patrols, using technology to enforce traffic laws, and engaging the public in reporting violations.
They will also repair damaged infrastructure to ensure smooth traffic flow.
In terms of fire prevention and fighting, he asked them to strengthen further inspections at high-risk facilities and crowded areas during the Lunar New Year.
They will also promote the role of the Inter-family Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Team, and enforce fire safety measures in markets, crowded places, fishing ports, and boat anchorages, as well as cracking down on illegal firecracker activities during the Tet holiday.
