The Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People's Committee has approved a project to support Agent Orange victims at Nghĩa Thắng Center for Nurturing and Rehabilitation of Agent Orange Victims. The project is funded by Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped (VNAH organization).
The project includes renovating the gate and ceiling of the Nghĩa Thắng Center, providing lunch allowances for 15 Agent Orange victims residing at the Center, and funding the salaries for one officer and two staff members working there.
The project will be implemented from now until December 2026 with a total capital of VNĐ150,000,000, equivalent to US$5,710.15.
It aims to improve the living conditions for Agent Orange victims by ensuring they receive regular, stable, safe, and effective care, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and educational support, thereby facilitating their reintegration into the community.
The Quảng Ngãi Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin is responsible for receiving, managing, and implementing the project, and coordinating with the Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped and relevant agencies to implement the project in compliance with the regulations in Government Decree No. 313/2025/ND-CP dated December 8, 2025, and other relevant regulations.
The Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped is a US-based non-governmental organization that was granted a Certificate of Registration for establishing a representative office in Việt Nam at Document No.25/NVVH-VPĐD by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the registration valid until July 8, 2030. Its areas of activity include supporting people with disabilities, research, disseminating legal information, education, healthcare, and community development.
The Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and donors helped Agent Orange victims with particularly difficult circumstances in Long Phụng commune, Quảng Ngãi province.
