Quảng Ngãi — The Việt Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province on Monday morning convened its first provincial congress for the 2025–2030 tenure, bringing together more than 300 delegates representing social strata, religious groups, intellectuals, dignitaries and the business community.

The event is regarded as an important political milestone, concretising the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and demonstrating Quảng Ngãi’s determination to pursue sustainable development in the new period.

Nguyễn Văn Thanh, Head of the Ethnic, Religious and Overseas Vietnamese Affairs Department of the VFF Central Committee, attended the congress.

U Huấn, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial NA Deputies’ Delegation, and Chairman of the provincial VFF Committee, reported that the first congress marks a significant socio-political event.

It reflects the will, aspirations and determination of the political system and local people to build a more prosperous, civilised and sustainable Quảng Ngãi.

Patriotic emulation movements, major campaigns and social welfare activities continued to spread widely, mobilising significant resources from the community.

The campaign “Joining hands to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses” raised over VNĐ 204 billion, supporting the construction or repair of more than 2,600 houses for poor and disadvantaged households.

For the 2025–2030 tenure, the provincial VFF Committee aims to further strengthen great national unity; renew its operational content and methods; protect the legal rights and interests of the people; and expand people-to-people diplomacy.

The congress set out 24 key tasks and 39 core solutions, focusing on communications and public engagement; renewing information channels; expanding membership of political–social organisations; promoting awareness of national solidarity; and ensuring strong implementation of ethnic and religious affairs while leveraging the role of reputable community leaders and religious dignitaries.
