Vice Chairman of the NA Trần Quang Phương attends Great National Unity Day in Xộp village

On 16 November, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Trần Quang Phương attended the 2025 Great National Unity Day in Xộp village, Mô Rai commune, marking the 95th anniversary of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front (18/11/1930–18/11/2025). Leaders of the National Assembly Delegation, Military Region 5 and Quảng Ngãi province also joined the event.

 

Xộp village has 100 households with over 330 residents, including 80 Gia Rai households. Thanks to strengthened grassroots unity and support from local authorities, the village has shifted its economic structure toward high-value crops such as rubber, coffee and durian. Average income in 2025 is estimated at VNĐ 45 million per person, up VNĐ 6 million from 2024; over 67 per cent of households are classified as well-off.

Cultural development has also improved, with 74 households recognized as “Cultural Families” for three consecutive years; Xộp village has been acknowledged as a “Cultural Village.”

 

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Trần Quang Phương praised the village for promoting cultural life, education, and contributions to new rural development. He urged the locality to preserve its traditional cultural values, strengthen community self-governance, diversify livelihoods, and apply advanced technologies to enhance agricultural productivity and prevent poverty relapse. He also emphasized maintaining security, unity, and border protection.

 

On this occasion, the NA’s Vice Chairman and provincial leaders presented gifts to Mô Rai commune and Xộp village, and offered support to 39 policy-beneficiary and disadvantaged households.
