Prime Minister Chính praises the province’s serious preparation and highlights the need for strategic breakthroughs to drive growth
On August 28 in Hà Nội, Politburo Member and Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính chaired a working session between the Politburo’s Working Group No. 2 and the Standing Board of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee to review preparations for the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025–2030.
Senior Party leaders attended the meeting, including Politburo members Nguyễn Trọng Nghĩa, Nguyễn Xuân Thắng, and General Phan Văn Giang, together with central agencies.
From Quảng Ngãi, Party Secretary Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân and provincial leaders presented their progress of the preparation.
Quảng Ngãi reported that all lower-level congresses were completed one month ahead of schedule.
Draft political documents were prepared carefully, with concise language and clear, actionable directions.
The upcoming Congress, under the motto “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Breakthrough – Development,” will set 16 major targets, five central tasks, and three breakthroughs.
These include achieving average GRDP growth of 9–9.5 per cent per year, per capita GRDP of US$ 6,900–7,000, and eliminating poverty by 2030.
Prime Minister Chính praised the province’s serious preparation and highlighted the need for strategic breakthroughs to drive growth.
He urged Quảng Ngãi to fully incorporate feedback into its documents, strengthen unity, and maximize its role as a national energy and industrial hub.
He also emphasized boosting eco-tourism in Măng Đen, improving cross-border connectivity at the Indochina junction, ensuring national defense and security, and accelerating administrative reforms to attract investment.
The Prime Minister called on the province to aim for annual economic growth above 10 per cent and to ensure the Congress resolution reflects bold, practical, and visionary goals for the next five years.
