On July 31, the Quảng Ngãi Health sector held its first conference on advanced models at Đặng Thùy Trâm Medical College. Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Y Ngọc attended the event.

In recent years, the sector’s emulation and commendation efforts have seen strong progress, becoming a driving force helping units across the system fulfill their assigned political duties.
Over the past five years, more than 5,130 collectives and 39,950 individuals have been honored by the State President, the Government, the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health, the Provincial People’s Committee, and the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
Notably, Quảng Ngãi’s health sector has successfully eliminated malaria across the province. Population and family planning work has been effectively implemented, keeping natural population growth and gender imbalance at birth under control.
Food safety management has been strengthened, with a significant decrease in food poisoning cases. The quality control of medicines, cosmetics, and food has been regularly enhanced, contributing to safer and more effective healthcare.
Modern infrastructure and medical equipment have continued to receive investment and upgrades. The healthcare network has expanded with clear improvements in medical examination and treatment quality.
The sector has successfully researched and applied various new and advanced medical techniques, helping save critical patients and improve public satisfaction.
In her speech, Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc commended the efforts and outstanding achievements of the provincial health sector. She urged the Department of Health to continue identifying key tasks for each stage with clarity on “personnel, responsibilities, timeline, and outcomes” to ensure quality and efficiency in implementing tasks.

She also emphasized the importance of conducting emulation and commendation work seriously and meaningfully, ensuring transparency, fairness, timeliness, and real impact, thereby creating motivation for sustainable development of the entire sector.
On this occasion, 10 collectives and 45 individuals were honored with Certificates of Merit by the Director of the Department of Health for their exemplary performance in the patriotic emulation movement during the 2020–2025 period.
