VBSP reviews policy credit tasks in the first five months

The Board of Directors of the Việt Nam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP), on June 5, held an online conference with VBSP at all levels to evaluate the implementation of policy credit tasks in the first five months of the year.

Attending the conference at the Quảng Ngãi bridge point were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Võ Phiên and members of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Social Policy Bank.

In the first five months of 2025, the State Bank of Việt Nam, the Board of Directors (BOD) of the VBSP, and the BOD at all levels have effectively carried out the political tasks assigned by the Party and the State, achieving outstanding results.

The total credit capital reached VNĐ 410,857 billion, an increase of VNĐ 34,618 billion compared to 2024.

Total lending turnover reached VNĐ 67,353 billion, with 1,077,000 poor households and other policy beneficiaries accessing capital.

Total debt collection turnover reached VNĐ 45,312 billion, which is equivalent to 67.3 per cent of lending turnover.

The total outstanding policy credit balance reached VNĐ 389,388 billion, an increase of VNĐ 21,757 billion compared to 2024, with nearly 6,842,000 customers having outstanding debts.

In Quảng Ngãi province, in the first five months of the year, the Board of Directors of the provincial VBSP effectively implemented the assigned political tasks.

The total capital of the province reached over VNĐ 5,900 billion, an increase of nearly VNĐ 280 billion compared to the beginning of the year.

The total outstanding loan reached over VNĐ 5,880 billion, helping more than 105,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries to access capital.

Speaking at the conference, Governor of the State Bank Nguyễn Thị Hồng acknowledged and commended the results achieved by the BOD of the VBSP at all levels in the first months of the year.

She hoped that the BOD at all levels would continue to effectively implement Directive No. 39-CT/TW dated October 30, 2024 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on improving the effectiveness of social policy credit in the new period.

Along with that, it is necessary to well implement the contents related to the arrangement of the apparatus of the political system, ensuring the implementation of policy credit at the grassroots level, Hồng stressed.

Besides, they should increase the mobilization of deposits from organizations and individuals in the market to promptly meet the demand for capital disbursement of policy credit programs according to the credit growth plan assigned by the Prime Minister in 2025, helping to effectively implement the National Target Programs on sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction and socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas in the period of 2021 - 2025.
