Quảng Ngãi - the People’s Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province on August 26 held a dialogue with local businesses and investors on issues related to land and taxation.
The meeting was chaired by Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, together with Vice Chairmen Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm and Trần Phước Hiền.
Leaders of provincial departments, agencies, localities, as well as representatives from enterprises and investors attended the meeting.
According to the Quảng Ngãi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, in the first eight months of 2025, the province received 46 petitions from 40 businesses and investors, mainly concerning land and tax procedures.
Of these, 27 have been resolved, while 19 are under review. These efforts have helped improve the business environment and strengthen investor confidence.
At the conference, enterprises raised concerns about land use rights certificates, land recovery and leasing, land-use conversion, extensions, and planning procedures.
They also requested clearer guidance on land rent exemptions, reductions, and VAT refunds.
Businesses urged provincial authorities to implement Resolution 68/NQ/TW in the spirit of providing genuine support, removing unnecessary procedures, and facilitating business operations.
Provincial leaders and relevant agencies directly addressed each concern, clarifying issues and highlighting recent administrative reforms and supportive policies.
Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang commended the constructive input, emphasizing that such exchanges are vital for refining policies, improving the investment climate, and strengthening the partnership between the government and enterprises.
Acknowledging ongoing challenges—especially administrative changes following recent organizational restructuring and global economic uncertainties—Chairman Giang called on businesses to remain resilient, innovative, and proactive in seizing opportunities.
He encouraged them to share difficulties openly, ensuring timely adjustments and solutions from authorities.
He also urged provincial business associations, including the Quảng Ngãi Business Association, the Young Entrepreneurs Association, and the Tourism Association, to enhance their roles as bridges between the government and enterprises, providing guidance and timely support.
Chairman Giang reaffirmed the province’s commitment to accompany businesses, stressing that “the success of enterprises is the success of the province.”
He expressed his hope that the business community and investors will continue to stand with Quảng Ngãi in driving sustainable socio-economic development.
