Mo Duc District celebrates the 50th anniversary of Liberation Day

On March 22, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Mo Duc District held a ceremony to celebrate two significant anniversaries: the 50th anniversary of District Liberation Day (March 23, 1975 - March 23, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Mo Duc District Armed Forces (May 1, 1945 - May 1, 2025).

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Hong Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Cao Phuc, and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Phuoc Hien, along with comrades from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and leaders from various departments, and localities.

During the event, Chairman of the Mo Duc District People's Committee, Pham Ngoc Lan, delivered a speech highlighting the heroic struggles of the Party Committee, government, and people of Mo Duc District, particularly the historic victory on March 23, 1975, which marked the complete liberation of the Mo Duc homeland.

Fifty years after liberation, Mo Duc District has achieved remarkable results in various fields, significantly improving the material and spiritual well-being of its residents.

The district has also developed numerous provincial-level OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products, with expectations to reach 52 OCOP products by the end of 2025—comprising four 4-star products and 48 3-star products.

In her speech at the event, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Dinh Thi Hong Minh, acknowledged the accomplishments of the Party Committee and the people of Mo Duc District over the past 50 years, as well as the achievements of the Mo Duc District Armed Forces over their 80 years of service, which have significantly contributed to the province's overall success.

In addition to excelling in socio-economic development and improving the quality of life for the people, the restructuring of administrative apparatus according to a new model has been identified as a critical task.

The Deputy Secretary urged Party committees at all levels to continue fostering a spirit of solidarity and unity among cadres and party members.

At the celebration, the provincial leaders honored individuals with outstanding achievements by awarding them Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Moreover, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also recognized five individuals who made significant contributions to building and developing Mo Duc District.

Leaders of Mo Duc District also presented gifts to express gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Armed Forces Heroes, and outstanding veterans in the district.
