Provincial Cyber Incident Response Team participates in Drill at Quảng ngãi Site
The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) has issued Official Letter No. 1973/UBND-NC directing agencies, units, and localities to strengthen cybersecurity and information safety in support of implementing the province’s two-tier local government model.
The Chairman requested leaders at all levels to strictly implement regulations on cybersecurity and protection of state secrets in cyberspace, take full responsibility for cybersecurity results at their agencies, and create favorable conditions for staff to enhance IT knowledge and skills.
Agencies are also tasked with raising awareness of legal regulations on cybersecurity and information confidentiality.
The directive requires immediate correction of shortcomings identified by competent authorities, effective implementation of specialized guidance on network safety, timely response to cybersecurity warnings, and urgent completion of information system security classification and approval procedures.
Agencies must ensure proper network segmentation—particularly separating public Wi-Fi from internal networks.
The Chairman also instructed a comprehensive review of IT infrastructure, equipment, databases, information systems, web portals, and social media pages—especially following recent organizational mergers.
Agencies must coordinate data synchronization, tightly manage classified devices, apply specialized data deletion measures when repurposing computers, and invest in secure, standardized IT infrastructure.
Furthermore, units are required to prioritize certified secure products, strengthen monitoring of service providers managing information systems and databases, and regularly update internal regulations to ensure cybersecurity and data safety.
