Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng conducted an on-site inspection on Sept. 10 to review the progress of the projects and direct relevant agencies to address difficulties.
The National Highway 24B Upgrade and Improvement Project, Km23–Km29 section, was approved in December 2025.
The Group B project has a total length of 6.75km and a total investment of more than VNĐ679 billion, with completion scheduled for 2027.
Nearly 33 per cent of the total route has so far been handed over for construction. More than 70 per cent of its allocated capital has been disbursed.
Construction is under way on several key components, including the production of prestressed concrete beams for a railway overpass, site clearance and construction of temporary access roads.

The ĐH.15 Bình Hiệp–Tịnh Trà Road Project was approved in March 2025. The road is more than 7.8km long, with a total investment of VNĐ40 billion. Construction began in March 2026 and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
About 90 per cent of the land inventory and compensation plans have been finalized, while 3.4km of the road has been completed with concrete pavement. Disbursement has reached 91.6 per cent of the 2026 capital plan.
The two projects are facing difficulties, mainly related to compensation and site clearance, as well as shortages of construction materials.
Vice Chairman Nguyễn Công Hoàng asked the project owner to work closely with relevant agencies and local authorities to resolve obstacles, regularly review the progress of each project component and promptly report issues beyond its authority.
Local administrations were requested to urgently complete procedures for determining land origins and strengthen communication and public outreach to build consensus among affected residents.
The Vice Chairman also asked local material suppliers to prioritize the provision of construction materials for the province’s key projects.
He stressed that the two projects are important to improving the local transport network and creating new momentum for socio-economic development.
Relevant agencies, local authorities and project owners were instructed to clearly define their responsibilities, strengthen coordination and proactively address difficulties to ensure that the projects remain on schedule, meet quality and safety requirements and make effective use of public investment funds.
