QUẢNG NGÃI — The Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee and Việt Nam Post Corporation have signed a cooperation agreement for 2026–30, focusing on postal services, public services, digital economy, e-commerce and logistics.
The agreement was signed on August 26 at a ceremony co-chaired by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Trần Phước Hiền and Việt Nam Post Deputy General Director Nguyễn Kiên Cường.
Under the agreement, the two sides will work together to develop the postal network as essential digital service infrastructure at the grassroots level and improve the quality of public postal services for residents and businesses.
The cooperation will also focus on logistics, e-commerce and digital economy services to support the consumption and distribution of local products.
The two sides will promote digital and green postal services, innovation and new service models, while using the postal network to help implement national target programmes.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền said the agreement would provide a basis for renewing management methods, improving public service quality and putting residents and businesses at the centre of service delivery.
He praised the contributions of Việt Nam Post and Quảng Ngãi Post in providing public postal services, handling administrative procedures, delivering social security payments and bringing public and digital services closer to people, particularly at the grassroots level.
Hiền asked the provincial Department of Science and Technology to coordinate with Quảng Ngãi Post and relevant agencies to develop practical and breakthrough cooperation mechanisms and policies.
He also called on Việt Nam Post to continue supporting Quảng Ngãi Post in modernising its network and improving service quality, particularly in border areas, areas inhabited by ethnic minority communities and island areas.
Information security and the protection of the legitimate interests of residents and businesses should remain a top priority, he said.
For its part, Việt Nam Post will coordinate with Quảng Ngãi to make public services more accessible, particularly in areas far from administrative centres.
It will also promote logistics and e-commerce, helping bring Quảng Ngãi products to wider markets.
The corporation will work with the province to provide essential services and social security support, while exploring new digital transformation and service models suited to local conditions.
Both sides agreed that the cooperation would be implemented on the principles of voluntariness, equality, consensus and mutual benefit, in accordance with their respective functions and legal regulations.
Quảng Ngãi pledged to create favourable conditions for the effective implementation of the agreement, ensuring that it delivers practical benefits to residents and businesses.
