Provincial People's Committee’s leaders meet with representatives of SABECO and Sài Gòn–Quảng Ngãi Beer
QUẢNG NGÃI — Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Đức Tâm has affirmed the province’s continued support for SABECO and its local subsidiary, Sài Gòn–Quảng Ngãi Beer Joint Stock Company, as the company expands production and develops a new commercial and service project.
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm chaired a meeting with representatives of SABECO and Sài Gòn–Quảng Ngãi Beer on September 8 to review the company’s production and business performance during the first eight months of 2026 and discuss its plans for the coming period.
Sài Gòn–Quảng Ngãi Beer, a SABECO-invested facility, began operations in late 2010 with an initial capacity of 100 million litres of beer a year. Its capacity was expanded to 250 million litres annually in 2020.
During the first eight months of 2026, the company produced more than 98.6 million litres of beer, equivalent to over 88 per cent of its annual target. Its export turnover was estimated at US$1.84 million.
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm praised the company’s production and business performance and its contributions to the provincial budget and local employment. He described the company as an industrial producer making an active contribution to Quảng Ngãi’s socio-economic development.
He asked provincial departments, agencies and local authorities to proactively coordinate with the company, promptly address difficulties within their authority and advise the Provincial People’s Committee on issues requiring further action.
The Chairman also called on Sài Gòn–Quảng Ngãi Beer to make full use of its production capacity and ensure adequate supply for the market.
SABECO was asked to continue supporting the local company in improving productivity and operational efficiency.
New commercial and service centre
The company is also developing a Commercial, Service and Leasing Centre with an initial investment of VNĐ288.4 billion, which is expected to rise to more than VNĐ300 billion due to higher material and labour costs.
Construction began in June 2026, with the project currently about 30 per cent complete. Basic construction is scheduled for completion in March 2027.
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm asked the company to work closely with relevant provincial departments and local authorities, comply fully with the province’s directions and accelerate construction so that the project can be completed and put into operation as soon as possible.
He reaffirmed that Quảng Ngãi will continue to accompany businesses, create favorable conditions for stable production and business operations, and promptly address difficulties within its authority.
Representatives of SABECO thanked the provincial authorities for their support and pledged to mobilize resources to complete the commercial and service centre on schedule.
The company also plans to strengthen cooperation with local businesses in the trade, tourism, restaurant and hotel sectors, helping expand the market and increase the presence of its products in Quảng Ngãi.
