Dung Quất Economic Zone
The Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee has called for decisive and coordinated measures to accelerate socio-economic development in the second half of 2026, with a focus on achieving the year’s growth targets and creating new momentum for the province’s development.
The direction was issued as the province reviews its socio-economic performance in the first half of the year and identifies key tasks and solutions for the remaining months of 2026.
The Provincial People’s Committee has asked departments, agencies and local authorities to maintain a strong focus on their assigned tasks, promptly address shortcomings and bottlenecks, and ensure effective implementation of major policies and resolutions on socio-economic development.
A key priority is to accelerate the implementation of major and strategic projects, particularly transport projects that strengthen regional connectivity and create new development drivers.
The province will also focus on developing coastal and urban areas, promoting investment, and mobilising resources for infrastructure and production.
At the same time, Quảng Ngãi will work to improve the investment and business environment and create more favourable conditions for enterprises.
The province will continue to promote industrial development, especially projects with high added value and advanced technologies, while effectively exploiting the potential of the Dung Quất Economic Zone.
Authorities have also been asked to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital, remove obstacles related to land clearance and project procedures, and strengthen responsibility among agencies and project owners.
In parallel with economic development, Quảng Ngãi will continue to improve social welfare, healthcare and education, while developing culture and tourism in a sustainable manner.
The province aims to promote tourism products based on its cultural and natural advantages, strengthen links between forest, sea and island tourism, and combine cultural preservation with improving local livelihoods.
The Provincial People’s Committee has stressed that tasks for the second half of 2026 must be translated into specific actions, measurable results and clear responsibilities, with agencies and localities required to act decisively and effectively to meet the province’s socio-economic development targets for the year.
