Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền chairs a meeting to review the investment proposal for the project in Măng Đen Commune

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Trần Phước Hiền made the decision at a meeting on August 13 to review the investment proposal for the project in Măng Đen Commune.

Covering about 2.75 hectares along National Highway 24, the project has a proposed investment of VNĐ532 billion (US$20.2 million).

It is designed as a five-star hotel complex combined with resort villas.

The project is expected to help expand high-end accommodation facilities and enhance the competitiveness of Măng Đen’s tourism sector, in line with the province’s orientation to develop the area into an eco-tourism and resort centre.

However, the proposed site currently includes forest and forestry land. The area is covered mainly by pine forest managed by the Măng Đen Commune People’s Committee.

As a result, procedures are required to convert the forest land for commercial and service use and to handle public assets in accordance with regulations.

Concluding the meeting, Hiền asked the investor to review and adjust the project boundaries to ensure consistency with provincial and local planning.

He stressed that the project must be developed in harmony with the existing natural landscape and ecosystem.

The Măng Đen Commune People’s Committee was instructed to urgently complete relevant procedures and submit them to competent authorities for consideration of converting the forest land to land for commercial and service use.

Once the necessary conditions and procedures have been completed, competent agencies will carry out the procedures for land allocation, land leasing and auctioning land-use rights in accordance with regulations.

Local authorities and relevant agencies were also asked to continue monitoring and supporting the investor throughout the project implementation process and promptly report any issues beyond their authority to the Provincial People’s Committee for further direction.
